This BMW 635 was one of a two car BMW Italia team campaigned in the 1984 European Touring Car Series. The team finished 4th on the season and had wins at Silverstone and the Nuerburgring. The car is restored to its original livery and is ready for the track. Find it here at Munich Legends in East Sussex, England for $82,105. Special thanks to BaT reader Jack B. for this submission! These cars were meant to sit on gold BBS center-lock wheels. The look is outstanding. Factory Euro bumpers and and deep chin spoiler are not unreasonable for a street car and make for a finished look on track. Vertical single wiper and low-drag mirrors complete the touringcar package.
The interior features a gutted dashboard and custom gauge cluster. Factory column stalks are obscured by a dished OMP suede wheel.
The stock looking Big-Six intake is fed by a beastly aluminum channel which draws from the passenger headlight area. The strut brace is also heavy duty and we are surprised to see a street-spec platic radiator overflow tank.
This is an impressive looking car and a model we see too seldomly on the track. These cars looks so good going fast, and it is a shame how many are now in poor repair. The good news is that street cars are a bargain and this legitimage historic racer is still priced less than many new BMW’s.
